Close Call

Joe and I went out for brunch and did some grocery shopping this morning and came home to this:
The transformer blew, catching our yard on fire.

7,000 volts+ squirrel= crispy critter
Our neighbors happened to be driving by and stopped to alert us. When we didn't answer, they grabbed the garden hose and tried to put out the fire.  Someone called the fire department, and they got the fire under control.  That little squirrel knocked out the power for the whole neighborhood and almost burned down our house.  Needless to say, we are very thankful to have watchful neighbors. Sadly, I don't know exactly who to thank for being a Good Samaritan.  Roasted squirrel, anyone?
